For over 25 years, people in the community of Alexandria, MN, have gathered for a puzzle party held by Ledec No. 192 members. This year, the public event will take place on March 19 at 8 p.m. at the hall.
There is no charge to participate, but attendees should bring a dollar to pitch in toward the prize given to the table that completes their puzzle the fastest. The puzzles are typically 300 pieces, and tables of four people compete against other tables to finish. This event is popular with all ages, and provides an opportunity for rousing conversation and cooperation.
Young people are especially enthusiastic about the puzzle party. They enjoy inviting their friends to come to the event. After the puzzles are completed, the members of Ledec No. 192 bake and serve pizzas in their lodge while people converse and have a great time.
Bernice Trousil commented, "The kids love it. There are families that are just wizards at puzzles. As a host, I enjoy watching people having a good time. It gets really exciting near the end."
No. 192 plans to get some new puzzles this year to add to their collection. The public is invited to attend this year's puzzle party, so make your plans to "piece" together a fun evening.
