A Message From the President

A Message From the President

Jan 06, 2017

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management Team, and Home Office staff, we wish you a happy New Year.

It is hard to believe that 2016 is over and this summer we will be only two years away from the next Convention in Green Bay, WI.

This year gives us another reason to celebrate. On July 4, Western Fraternal Life turns 120 years old! It is because of members like you that we have been in existence for so long.

This issue’s theme of membership recognizes many of our faithful members who will celebrate 50 and 75-year anniversaries in 2017, as well as lodge anniversaries. We are thankful to have many members and lodges that have contributed to our legacy of success. You can read about two examples, No. 247 and No. 106, in this issue.

We are also fortunate to have agents who help us maintain our membership and provide meaningful services. We will be making note of their achievements in next month's issue, so watch for that.

Being a fraternal benefit society is what sets Western Fraternal apart. Our member volunteers play an important role in their communities. A perfect example is Dorothy Bonczynski, the 2016 Fraternalist of the Year. Dorothy’s accomplishments appeared in the November 2016 Fraternal Herald. We are proud to have members like her who lead the way by demonstrating fraternalism in her lodge and state.

I want to sincerely thank all of you for making Western Fraternal Life a great organization for the past 120 years. Join me in the continued effort to provide for our members and communities for the next 120 years. With your help, we can continue our mission of “enriching today, insuring tomorrow.”

Fraternally yours,
Craig Van Dyke, CFA, President
