Annual Report From the Vice President of Information Technology and Secretary

Mar 03, 2020

It is an honor and a pleasure to report to you on behalf of the Administration Department.

The Association continues to operate in 18 states with 108 lodges and 34,885 members.

We congratulate the 831 of these members who will be recognized by their lodges during the year for attaining 50 and 75-years of membership. Thank you for your dedication and commitment to Western Fraternal Life! You all have helped make Western who we are today.

The changes to the Bylaws made at the 2019 National Convention have been submitted to the states in which we are licensed as required by law. Copies of the Articles of Incorporation, Bylaws, and Convention Proceedings have been mailed to all of the delegates. All donations requested and approved were made in February. I would like to thank all of the delegates, members, guests, and Youth Summit attendees for their participation and thoughtful collaboration during the Convention. And a big thank you to all of the staff and volunteers, we could not have done it without you!

On behalf of the Board of Directors, Management Team, and the entire staff, we applaud all of the lodges that received an award as a result of the activities and charitable donations by your lodge in 2019. As a result of these activities, 20 lodges were awarded the highest level Shining Star Award, 9 lodges received the Five Star Award, 9 the Four Star, 15 the Three Star, 17 the Two Star and 8 the One Star. We hope you continue to build upon the successes of last year and strive to enhance what you accomplished as well.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the agents who have written business with us this past year. A special congratulations goes out to the award winners highlighted in the February Fraternal Herald. You are a large part of who we are and have brought us the new members and premium dollars needed to support both the life insurance and fraternal sides of our organization.

Each year, I need to thank the dedicated, hard-working staff in the Home Office. The staff is committed to providing excellent service to our members. Three staff members celebrated special anniversaries in 2019: Senior Programmer Analyst Wayne Boddicker – 25 years, Field Consultant Randy Pfeiler - 10 years, and Underwriter DeAnn Crane – 5 years. Congratulations on your milestone anniversaries. Together, we all strive to “Enrich Today and Insure Tomorrow.”
