The upcoming consolidation of Western and NMB will create a Fraternal Advisory Board to help guide and advise on the fraternal aspects of the new organization. See below for details of the newly created Fraternal Advisory Board.
Fraternal Advisory Board Composition
The Fraternal Advisory Board will be comprised as follows:
The three Western District Directors who are not elected to the Board of Directors of the consolidated society. If a director declines to be on this Advisory Board, a member of the Pre-Convention Committee from their district will be elected;
One member of the Western Pre-Convention Committee from each of the other four Districts elected by the District; and
Seven NMB members selected by the NMB Board of Directors.
In the event of a vacancy in the Fraternal Advisory Board for one of the Western District representatives, such vacancy shall be filled by election of the District by a Pre-Convention Committee member or alternate from that District, or if none are available, by another member of the District.
In the event of a vacancy in the Fraternal Advisory Board for one of the NMB representatives, such vacancy shall be filled by vote of the members of the Board of Directors assigned to NMB.
