Members had a business meeting on September 9 at Big Flats Town Hall.
We walked the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk on September 22 and did a 1 mile road clean-up on September 30. Members visited with No. 361 on September 30 and received bags of playing and greeting cards, pencils, crayons, puzzle books, box tops, and milk tops from them to go to the local schools and veteran homes.
Donations were made to the Family Center in Wisconsin Rapids, WI.
A thank-you note was received from A-F Red Cross blood drive for donations in August.
Members met October 14 at Big Flats Town Hall. We worked alongside Joseph White American Legion Post #442 for a spaghetti supper and bake sale on October 13. On October 12, we worked with church members and held a pancake supper and bake sale. Members worked and donated for the October 15 A-F Red Cross blood drive.
Food pantry items were delivered and donated to the A-F Food Pantry on October 17, weighing 74 pounds.

Members met November 4 at Big Flats Town Hall. Our Christmas event was held on December 1 at Grace's in Wisconsin Rapids. Nominations were held for all offices and elections were planned as well.
Members worked with church members (United Church of Christ) to have a four-day rummage sale on October 31 through November 3.
Donations were made to the Salvation Army.
Our next meeting is at 1 p.m. on January 13 at the Big Flats Town Hall. Potluck meal and food pantry donations accepted.
Thank-you notes were received from Alzheimer’s Association for donation toward the Memory Walk in September.
Members met July 8 and August 12. We collected school supplies and donated to Stuff the Bus in Adams County. Food pantry items were delivered totaling 17 pounds. A donation was made to A-F Red Cross blood drive.
Registration was sent in for delegates attending the lodge state convention and reports will be available at the September meeting.

Members met June 10. Food pantry and Box Tops for Education were brought in to deliver. State Meeting information was received from No. 196, Black River Falls.
Members joined with church members and did a mile of trash clean-up on May 20.
Some worked the Red Cross blood drive on June 18. Donations were received to feed the blood donors.
Members planted flowers at the local church flower bed. They will tend to them throughout the growing season.
Otto Pavelec celebrated his 90th birthday and received his past president pin.

Members met April 8 at Big Flats Town Hall. We traveled to Tomah, WI, and delivered cards, homemade cribbage boards, caps, pens, pencils, and puzzle books to the veteran’s home.
Several volunteered their time and donated baked goods with the local church for a pancake supper and bake sale.
A monetary donation was made to A-F High School Scholarship Fund.
Members attended the District 5 Meeting in Black River Falls on April 29.
We had a meeting on May 6 at Big Flats Town Hall. Members worked with a local organization called Faith in Action to set up and hold a two-day garage sale.
Our special event for the day was celebrating past President Otto Pavelec’s 90th birthday. Cake and ice cream were served with a presentation of a past president’s pin.
Our next meeting is July 8 at the Big Flats Town Hall.
Members met on February 11. Our annual scholarship fund prize monies were sent to our District 2 officer, to be donated to the State Scholarship Fund. Members worked the local blood drive and donated food for the event.
Members have been helping out the local church pinning, sewing, and tying quilts for World Relief efforts. Valentine cards were exchanged.
Letters and pins were sent to our 75 and 50-year members.
Items were received from members of No. 361, to be delivered to the veteran’s home at Tomah, WI.
Members met March 11. Food pantry items were brought in and delivered to the local food pantry. Box Tops, Campbell’s labels, and milk covers were delivered to the A-F Elementary School.
Members worked a local quilt show and helped serve lunch on March 10. Members worked with the local church group donating food and serving food at a Lenten soup supper.
Otto Pavelic’s 90th birthday is in May.
Congratulations to our 75-year members Helen Prasil and Evelyn Voboril, and 50-year member Gary Pavelec.
Members met January 14. Food pantry items were delivered to our local food pantry and can tabs were delivered to the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield.

Otto Pavelec was recognized for his many years of service as president.
The election of officers was held with the following result: President Fred Murray, Vice President Irene Pavelec, Treasurer Marlene Murray, Secretary/Correspondent Cleo Hendricksen, and Trustees Amy Pavelec, Richard Hendricksen, and Rose Hendricksen.
On October 13, several members worked alongside church members to host a potato and pancake supper, along with a bake sale. On October 16, members worked and donated food to the Red Cross Blood Drive at Adams, WI. Members worked on October 15 with the local church group and did a mile of roadside pick-up. We delivered box tops, labels, and milk covers to the A-F Elementary School on October 18.
A donation was made to the town of Big Flats for the use of their hall and to the Salvation Army working out of Stevens Point, WI.

We walked the Alzheimer’s Association Walk on September 30 in Tomah, WI. The team took first place and raised $3,300.

June - August 2017
On June 19, members worked and donated desserts for the Red Cross Blood drive at the Adams Community Center. On June 23, we walked the Adams Co. American Cancer Society Relay for Life from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Thank-you notes were received for the sympathy card for Marie Kramer, scholarship recipient Kinsey Glavin, and from King-Vets Home.
Members collected and donated folders, paper notebooks, and Western pencils to Stuff the Bus on August 9. We visited 75-year member Elsie Landon at Villa Pines Nursing Center and presented her a 75-year pin and flowers.
Food pantry items were delivered to the Adams Co. Food Pantry. Can tabs, Box Tops for Education, and milk covers were collected.

Fred and Marlene Murray were nominated as delegates to the WI/Upper MI State Meeting on September 30.
Members Fred and Marlene Murray and Richard Hendricksen made cribbage boards and purchased baseball caps, decks of cards, adult coloring books, colored pencils, and puzzle books for the veteran’s home in King, WI.
On May 4, Fred and Marlene traveled to the veteran’s home with 22 kids from Nekoosa Academy School and 15 American Legion Post #442 members to play Bingo with residents.
Members purchased flowers and planted them in the local church flower bed. They will be cared for throughout the season.
On April 25, members collected cribbage boards (made by members), baseball caps, decks of cards, adult coloring books, and colored pencils. They were delivered on April 26 to the Veteran’s Home at King, WI.

Food pantry items are collected at each monthly meeting.
Cleo, Rose, and Richard worked with a local church ladies group donating and serving food for Lenten Soup Supper on March 15. Rose, Cleo, and Pat also worked with the church ladies in January and February pinning, serving, stringing, and tying 102 quilts for the World Relief programs.
Fred, Marlene, and Irene worked a church rummage sale for five days the last full week of April.
Our next meeting is June 11 with a potluck before the meeting. Food pantry items will be accepted.
