Our meeting was held March 10. Donations have been made to the Price County Antique Association and St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. A check will be mailed to the Home Office for Kids Against Hunger.

The February and March 2019 Fraternal Connections and 2019 year-to-date points were shared, as was a letter from President Craig Van Dyke about the National Convention.
Discussion was held regarding our District, State, and National Meetings being held this year.
Our April meeting will be held at Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home. We will be honoring residents celebrating their birthdays during the month. Treats will be shared with all residents.
The first meeting of 2019 was held at the Price County Airport meeting room in Phillips, WI on January 13.
Monthly donations for January are to Flambeau Home Health and Hospice and our dues to Friends of Fred Smith.
Thank-you notes were read from The Lord’s Cupboard Food Pantry in Park Falls, St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry in Phillips, and Beverly Brayton. We received a Christmas card from the Marshfield Ronald McDonald House and Director Brenda Vrieze.

Members received communication about the Young Members Summit, the State and National Conventions being held in 2019, the January 2019 Fraternal Connection, and the 2018 Year-to-Date Points.
Results for the election of officers for 2019 are as follows: President Maureen Trojak, Vice President Beverly Brayton, and Secretary/Treasurer Therese Trojak.
The audit report was presented and approved. We went over the 2019 donations and meeting dates for the year.
A 75-year pin will be ordered for Sherrie Kandutsch and 50-year pins for Gene Polacek and Shanelle Zellinger-Fernandez. Pins will be mailed.

Donations will be made to St. Vincent de Paul for their Match Fund Campaign, the Red Apple Center, Marshfield Ronald McDonald House, the Trinity Food Pantry, and the Lord’s Cupboard before the end of the year.
Our next meeting will be held January 13, 2019. An election of officers will take place. Our 2019 donation list will be looked over and meeting dates and places will be determined.
Members held their annual children’s fishing tackle giveaway during the Phillips Harvest Festival on September 22. The giveaway included a Peregrine rod with a Trion reel, a Plano soft tackle box with two covered trays filled with Mepp’s spinners, lures, bobbers, hooks, sinkers, jig heads of various sizes and colors, twister tails, and jig spinners.

An account of members who participated in the 35th annual Phillips Czechoslovakian Community Festival in June was taken.
Several Western members, who also belong to the Price County Antique Association, Ltd. (PCAA, Ltd.), participated with the Phillips Moose Lodge, the Phillips American Legion Auxiliary, and the Park Falls American Legion in a Moose Lodge Bingo fundraiser on August 12. Five lodge members hosted during the Price County Fair in Phillips on August 23-26 where antique machinery and other items are stored, maintained, and displayed.
The WI State Meeting will be held on October 6 in Black River Falls. Beverly and Dennis Brayton will be attending and taking our can tab check and items for the raffle.
Two members delivered used magazines to the Park Manor Nursing Home, the Flambeau Hospital, and Aspirus Pleasant View Nursing Home in Phillips.
Our October meeting will be held at the Price County Airport.

Diane Gierman refurbished the wreath placed at the Phillips Veteran’s Memorial in time for Memorial Day.

We will again hold our youth activity project in September during the Phillips Fall Harvest Day. Lupine seeds will be on sale during the festival.
Five members attended the District 4 Meeting on June 3 in Ladysmith.
Changing meeting dates from Sundays to another day was discussed and will be brought up at the last meeting of the year.
We discussed participating in the 35th annual Phillips Czechoslovakian Festival on June 15 through 17.
Members made plans to attend the State Meeting in Black River Falls on October 6.

The Phillips Veteran’s Memorial wreath will again be refurbished by members of our lodge in time for Memorial Day.

Following the meeting, members hosted the April birthday party at the nursing home. We served cake and ice cream to all who were present, which included members from the entire Aspirus campus, musicians, visitors, and No. 236 members. Singer Red Higgins and band played and sang country music for entertainment. The April birthdays each received a birthday card and gift from our lodge.
The first meeting of 2018 was held on January 14 at the Price County Airport meeting room. Thank-you notes were read from the Phillips Trinity Food Pantry and Park Falls Lord’s Cupboard food pantry. Christmas greetings were read from the Home Office, Director Brenda Vrieze, and the Salvation Army.
Discussion was held on information received from Kelsey Logan and Brenda Vrieze to strengthen our lodge, getting pins to our 50 and 75-year members, ordering T-shirts, and the point system. Our 2017 audit was completed and sent in.
