October 2018

Members and a guest met at the Family Restaurant in Rice Lake. We decided on donations for the year.

Members will meet in October before the weather is too bad to travel in.

We collected four bags of aluminum cans and took school supplies to OLS to sell. School supplies were taken to Embrace as well. We gave boxes of clothes to Lighthouse for Homeless.

Two members worked at Mana Meal at the Lutheran Church where 92 meals were served. They helped prepare, serve, and clean up.

Our monetary donations were for the state scholarship, the Source Newsletter, Hope Lutheran Pantry, Hawkins Community Cupboard, Ladysmith Care Community, and Care and Rehab.

There will be more in November and December.

April 2018

Our April meeting was held at the Family Restaurant in Rice Lake.

We were saddened by the loss of a good friend and member Olga Toman. Members attended her funeral. She will be missed.

Rosie told members about our District Meeting at the Senior Center in Ladysmith on June 3. Letters were sent to lodges about the District Meeting.

A member donated two scrapbooks of photos and stories of veterans. Both have a lot of history in them. She also has one of the Ladysmith tornado for the museum.

December 2017

Members met at the Family Restaurant in Rice Lake. We elected officers, talked about forms to fill out, and delivering donations.

April 2017

Members met on April 24 at the Family Restaurant in Rice Lake. We enjoyed three visitors at our meeting and dinner.

Members discussed last year’s donations and will add more this year. We also discussed the new point system.

December 2016

Members met December 19 at President Don Dvorak’s home. A moment of silence was held for deceased members.

A box of Boyds Bears was delivered to Ladysmith Police Department on December 9. They will be given away on December 10 at Shop with a Cop day.

Members rang bells for the Salvation Army on December 16.

Thank-you notes were read from two local nursing homes and Habitat for Humanity.

The same officers of 2016 will continue their positions in 2017.
