Lodge Novy Tabor No. 19, Munden, KS. We observed JHD on May 3 at the Cuba City Library for Spring Splash. Nine members, a few mothers, and grandmothers showed 20 children how to make flowers from tissue paper. Flowers were completed with leaves, pipe cleaner, and a lace paper doily that held the flowers together. The children will give the flowers to their mothers for Mother’s Day. Sharon Kalivoda and Ella and Sharon Moravek read stories about spring and demonstrated the flower making. Each child was given a bookmark made from greeting cards by Marcella Dolezal. Everyone enjoyed treats and drinks.

Lodge Michigan No. 225, Bannister, MI. We had a large number of youth and adults from the following organizations: Knights of Columbus Council 13449, St. Cyril’s Altar Society, Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Society, students and teachers from Ovid-Elsie High School, Busy Green Clovers 4-H Club, Ashley Community School Board, employees of Alley T's Screen Printing and Embroidery, and various youth groups participate on May 1 for our JHD project. We constructed adult bibs, catheter bag covers, lap robes, neck pillow covers, fleece blankets, and shoulder wraps for Friends of Hospice. The Friends of Hospice will distribute the items to Hospice groups in Lower MI. Everyone was working, cutting material, sewing, and ironing.
