Lodge Seattle No.
181, Seattle, WA
Our JHD project
was staffing the Saturday afternoon shift at the North
Helpline Food Bank in the Lake City area of Seattle. Working
together with Seattle District High School students and church
of the Nazarene members, we sorted, and donated food items,
restocked storage areas, and distributed food to low-income
and homeless families. "We derived gratification in
helping others, developed more appreciation for having jobs,
food and shelter, and realized that we are all vulnerable to
economic changes."
