29th National Convention

Every four years, Western Fraternal Life has a National Convention. The purpose of the convention is to review the bylaws of the Association and to elect the Board of Directors and the Association president. Each lodge elects delegates from their members to represent the lodge. Each lodge is entitled to one delegate for every one hundred members, but each lodge is entitled to at least one delegate.

The following people are running for election as members of the Board of Directors for Western Fraternal Life. Election will take place at the National Convention.
At the Board of Directors meeting held in February, we unanimously voted to nominate Craig Van Dyke to continue to serve as our president. Please join me, and the rest of the Board, and let's unanimously elect Craig to serve another four years as our president at the 29th National Convention.
In July, we will be gathering in Green Bay, WI for the XXIX National Convention.
The 2018 quadrennial Pre-Convention Committee meeting of Western Fraternal Life Association was held on Friday, October 26, 2018 by teleconference and at the Home Office, Cedar Rapids, IA.
Important news for members about the election of Western Fraternal Life Association Board of Directors. During the 2019 National Convention in Green Bay, WI, delegates from each of the seven districts will assemble and nominate a Director from their respective district. Candidates for an elected Director position must indicate their intention to seek election and submit all required information regarding their qualifications prior to March 1, 2019.
The pre-Convention Committee has scheduled a meeting for October 26, 2018. If you have any proposed by-law changes or amendments for the committee to consider at this meeting, send them to any pre-Convention member or Craig Van Dyke. Submitted by-law changes must include name and lodge number to be considered.
